  • Alexander Coleman

    MANAGING PARTNER

    Alexander Coleman has been in operationally led private equity for over 25-years, focused predominantly on US based middle market companies operating in consumer-packaged goods, information and business services, and specialized manufacturing. Within consumer, Mr. Coleman has been active in a variety of businesses including food, beverage, franchise, and consumer goods both basic and technology-enabled.

    Prior New Providence, Mr. Coleman was the founder and Managing Partner of Annex Capital, a primary and secondary focused middle market private equity fund. Before this, Mr. Coleman has been a Co-Head for two separate private equity funds of large multi-national banks, at Citicorp Venture Capital (Citi) and at Dresdner Kleinwort Capital (Allianz). Mr. Coleman started his career at Citi in their restructuring group and media group.

    Mr. Coleman has served as a CEO, Chairman of the Board and Director for numerous private and public companies, including Big Red Group, Telecorp PCS, JAC Products, Wholesome & Hearty Foods, Data Transmission Networks and AST Space Mobile, among others.

  • Gary Smith

    MANAGING PARTNER

    Gary Smith has 35 years of experience in the consumer industry, the last 20 years as CEO and COO.

    Prior to New Providence, Mr. Smith was the Chief Executive Officer of Big Red Group (“BRG”) directly responsible for all functional areas.

    Mr. Smith successfully acquired and integrated numerous businesses to build BRG into a national company, eventually selling the entire business to Keurig Dr Pepper.

    Prior to BRG, from 2000 to 2007 Mr. Smith was the Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Red Bull North America, responsible for leading all day-to-day efforts.

    From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Smith enjoyed a successful career with PepsiCo, Inc.

  • Leo Valentine

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Leo Valentine brings over a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, and financial advisory across diverse industries.

    Prior to New Providence, Mr. Valentine was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Public Square. In this role, he was responsible for driving strategic financial initiatives and supporting corporate growth through financial planning, capital raising, performance analysis, and scenario modeling.

    Before Public Square, Mr. Valentine was an Associate Director at Protiviti, leading financial due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions. His work supported clients, sponsors, and prospective buyers throughout the transaction lifecycle. Earlier, he served as Transaction Services Manager at Grant Thornton, providing financial and accounting due diligence for a global client base.

    Mr. Valentine began his career at Deloitte focusing on advisory services for financial institutions.

    Served as a board member for Thrifty Foods of Burlington, Hospital Cost Consultants and Accountants, Inc. and as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Culinary Institute of America

    Former Partner at Deloitte and Touche specializing in the Food Industry

    Dan Ginsberg has significant operating experience in the consumer and food industries

    Formerly the Chairman of the Board of Potbelly Corporation, serving on the board from 2014-2020

    Previously, Ginsberg served as CEO of Dermalogica from 2011 – 2014 and Chief Executive Officer of Red Bull North America until 2008

    Timothy Gannon is the Co-Founder of Outback Steakhouse

    Co-Founded OSI Restaurant Partners, an operator of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Roy’s Restaurant and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse units

    Prior to co-founding Outback, Mr. Gannon spent 14 years at other restaurant groups including Steak & Ale and Copeland’s Cajun Café

    Terry Wilson has 35 years of U.S. and Asia-Pacific supply chain experience

    Mr. Wilson was President of Golden State Foods (GSF) and his food industry experience includes deployment of the PepsiCo Food Systems company and redesign of the McDonald’s U.S. distribution network

    While at IBM, Mr. Wilson led the development of the Worldwide Distribution Network Optimization organization

    Greg Stevens has over 20 years of experience focusing on retailer profitability through the combination of digital marketing services, advertising technologies, advertising sales and both SaaS and enterprise e-commerce platforms

    Mr. Stevens previously led firms that were successfully sold to private equity and publicly traded holding companies

    Proven track record of successfully managing companies through growth and restructuring phases. Greg is currently an advisor to multiple technology businesses as well as a board member at a SaaS marketing firm
